Orissa finish 5th in disbale Nationals

A 16-ember Orissa team finished fifth among 24 teams in the National Disabled Cricket Championship held recently at Anantapuram, Andhra Pradesh. According to Youth Service Centre, which sent the team to the Natioal meet, Orissa beat SAI, East Zone and Gujarat to enter quarterfinals, where they lost to Maharashtra. Orissa`s Paresh Beura found a place in the 16-member Indian disabled team to play against Pakistan. The National team was selected under the supervision of former India captain Ajit Wadekar and Nilesh Kulkarni on the basis of performance in the Anantpur championship.
